I wrote this song during the time my sister was in the hospital, dying. There is a lot of emotion in this song I was trying to get out. It was also the theme for the album art, with the idea of an iced over heart which represents a double meaning. From one perspective, one's heart can be iced over during hard times... times of heavy loss. But also, the portion of the heart NOT frozen represents the ability to allow your heart to heal and thaw. At least, this is what I am feeling when I perform this song. I hope you enjoy it!
